TV51 Awarded ‘TV Station of the Year’ by NRB

The National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) has awarded Total Living Network TV51, Rockford’s only local Christian TV station, its prestigious “TV Station of the Year Award” for low-power stations. The award will be presented to TV51’s General Manager Holly Swanson, Feb. 18 at NRB’s 63rd Annual Convention in Dallas, Texas.

TV51 was selected as the winner based on the station’s excellence in providing innovative and creative programming throughout its daily schedule, covering local religious events, issues and stories, working in partnership with local churches and ministries to provide a media platform for otherwise unheard voices, demonstrating sound financial decisions and understanding budgetary constraints while operating a non-profit organization.

Swanson said: “We have worked very hard in the Rockford community with a limited staff, but it is because of the support of the local churches and community that we have achieved the success we have today.”

TV51 is part of a national media company (Total Living Network) that produces compelling family programming from a Biblical worldview. Total Living Network delivers programming in Rockford and the surrounding area on broadcast channel 51 and on Insight basic cable channel 15. For more information, visit or call 815-877-5151.
