Used book sale set for April 16

Rockford Peace & Justice Action Committee will have a special used book sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, April 16, at 623 Seventh St. A large selection of history books has been donated by The Book Stall.

Most of the hard covers will go for 50 cents or less. Also available will be collectible books, fiction, history, the environment, and arts and sciences at half the marked price, and 20 percent off new and historical posters and paper ephemera.

Rockford Peace & Justice is a volunteer organization that tries to foster world and local nonviolence, equity and cultural understanding. It raises awareness of social issues through its weekly Coffee Talks programs. Book donations are still being accepted for the sale. For more information, call (815) 964-7111.
