Voice of Cubs in Rockford Dec. 13

The play-by-play voice of the Chicago Cubs, Len Kasper, will be in Rockford Wednesday, Dec. 13.

Kasper will be at Aldeen Golf Club, 1900 Reid Farm Rd., from 5:30 to 7 p.m. for an event hosted by the Marquette University Club of Rockford.

Kasper is a 1993 graduate of Marquette with a degree in communications. Prior to his position with WGN, Kasper also worked for the Florida Marlins and the Milwaukee Brewers. He has also hosted pre-game and halftime shows for the Green Bay Packers radio network.

Fans attending the event will have the opportunity to not only hear Kasper discuss his current position as voice of the Cubs, but also get an inside look into the upcoming 2007 team.

Cost for the event is $10 per person and includes hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar. All Marquette alums are invited to attend, and the event is also open to the public. For questions or special needs, contact event coordinator Paul Arco at 547-5747.
