Volunteer training sessions begin June 25 at Tinker Swiss

Beginning June 25, Tinker Swiss Cottage Museum Educator Janna Bailey and Curator Donna Langford will conduct a session of four, two-hour volunteer training seminars on consecutive Mondays for new volunteers.

Tinker docents can give tours of the historic Cottage to visitors of all ages. Receptionists work in the Museum Store, greeting visitors. Other volunteers work behind the scenes with museum staff; help with crafts at special events and more!

A variety of opportunities are available to help make Tinker Swiss Cottage Museum a fantastic place to be.

Morning seminar sessions will run 10 a.m.-noon. Evening seminar sessions will run 6-8 p.m.

Seminar participants will learn about different volunteer positions available, get in-depth information about the Cottage and the Tinker family, and receive training and enjoy each other.

For more information about the Volunteer Training Seminar, call Tinker Swiss Cottage Museum at (815) 964-2424 or e-mail Museum Educator Janna Bailey at jannabailey@tinkercottage.com.

Open year-round, Tinker Swiss Cottage Museum is at 411 Kent St., Rockford.
