Volunteers needed for Junior Achievement

Junior Achievement (JA) of Rock River Valley is in need of volunteers to teach JA’s financial education and job-readiness programs to K-12 students throughout Winnebago, Boone, Stephenson and Ogle counties. Volunteering is easy and rewarding, and requires no specialized business skills.

Since 1958, JA has taught the kids of the Rock River Valley the key financial and job readiness skills they will need to meet the challenges of the future. This year, JA hopes to reach more than 7,500 students in 350 classrooms throughout the Rock River Valley. To do this, JA needs the support of businesses, PTOs, service organizations and other groups that appreciate the skills our youth must have to become the leaders of tomorrow.

If you are interested in giving a small amount of time to the students of Junior Achievement, call 963-8413 or visit http://rockford.ja.org for more information.
