Watercolor workshop offered

Ingrid Dohm will hold a watercolor painting workshop at a place to be announced on Mondays and Wednesdays for two successive weeks from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., May 9 and 11 and May 16 and 18, a total of 12 workshop hours.

The workshop fee is $150. A $35 deposit shall be sent prior to the workshop to reserve a space. The remainder is due the first day of the workshop schedule. The workshop is limited to eight participants.

Dohm will use flowers and still life objects as models and share the thought processes that go into creating a floral setup. Materials needed for the workshops include paint, paper and brushes. Suggested paint colors include Cadmium Light Yellow, Cadmium Light Red, Alizarin Crimson, Indigo Blue, Ultramarine Blue, Hookers Green, Sap Green, Cerulean Blue and Raw Umber. Either Windsor Newton or Schmincke professional grade paint is recommended. One full sheet of 140-pound cold press Arches watercolor paper, watercolor brushes sizes 6 and 12 are required.
