WCAS to hold Micro Chip Clinic for pets

Winnebago County Animal Services will hold a Micro Chip Clinic from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Sunday, July 29, behind the YMCA on ‘Y’ Boulevard in the parking lot off Madison Street. Follow signs from North Second Street. Cost is $15—cash only.

This is a way to provide permanent identification for pets in case they become lost. Also available from the Student Association for Veterinary Technicians are the following: nail clipping—$3; tooth brushing—$3; ear cleaning—$2.

Requirements: You must have a current Illinois driver’s license or state-issued ID to prove Winnebago County residency. All dogs must be on leashes; all cats must be in carriers.
