BYRONThe cast and crew of Byron Civic Theatres (BCT) The Nerd guarantee you will laugh until your sides hurt if you attend one of the six upcoming productions of this adult comedy.
Directed by Grant Fetter, it is bound to be BCTs funniest show ever. The Nerd opens at 8 p.m., Feb. 7, in the Sunderman Theatre just inside Byron High School at 696 Colfax. Before the show, the first 120 guests can make reservations for BCTs annual dinner theater evening, Feb. 8. The dinner begins at 6 p.m. in the Commons of Byron High School. Hungry guests will start off with veggie and fruit appetizers, then will be seated to enjoy a mixed green salad topped with oranges, strawberries, red onion and a few nuts (in keeping with the show theme) finished with a raspberry vinaigrette dressing. Hot garlic bread will be served with the entree featuring baked chicken breast on a generous bed of fettuccine mushroom alfredo with sauteed green beans and brandied baby carrots. Dessert will be a chocolate mocha cake and spumoni ice cream. Coffee, iced tea and lemonade will accompany the meal. Reservations for the dinner theater must be made in advance and will be accepted until Feb. 3. Seating is limited, so make your reservation early.
The cost for the dinner theater is $20 for adults and $18 for seniors. This includes the dinner and one ticket to the Feb. 8 performance of The Nerd. Cost to members for the dinner is $11 for all ages.
