Wesley Willows’ annual benefit stars Cats

Wesley Willows celebrates its 40th anniversary at A Special Sunday Celebrating Seniors Sunday, June 11. It’s an evening to entertain all ages at the 34th Annual Benefit for the Good Samaritan Fund to be held at the Starlight Theater at Rock Valley College. The fund-raiser stars Cats, the musical.

The pre-show event begins at 6 p.m. under the big tent near the theater with anniversary cake provided by Cliffbreakers. Attendees can meet the feline characters from the musical Cats before the performance. Browse books and games from Wonderland Books, or take a tour of the theater with Starlight’s Director Mike Webb. At 7 p.m., take your seat under the evening sky as Rock Valley College presents its exciting production of Cats.

New to the benefit this year is a coloring contest for kids and Senior Kids. Pick up an entry form at any Alpine Bank, Ack Ack Nursery, Wonderland Books or Wesley Willows. Bring your entry to the benefit. Prizes will be awarded at intermission and include $100 savings bonds from Alpine Bank and $15 gift certificates from Wonderland Books.

Proceeds from the event assist Wesley Willows residents who have outlived their financial resources.

Tickets are $30 for adults and $15 for children. For tickets and information, or to make a donation, call Sondra Bengston at 316-1570.
