The theme of the day is Where Everything Served is a Work of Art. The event is sponsored again this year by all the organizations within the West Suburban Volunteer Fire Department. The menu will be pancakes, sausage, juice, milk and coffee.
Tickets can be purchased at the door. Prices are $4 for adults, $3 for children ages 6-12 and senior citizens; children age 5 and younger are admitted free.
Chairman Bill Mesch hopes for another large turnout this year, and a raffle will be held in which some lucky people will take home the following prizes: 1st prize, $500; 2nd prize, $200; 3rd prize, $100. Tickets, at $1 each, or six for $5, can be purchased at the door also for the 2 p.m. drawing, and you need not be present to win.
On display throughout the day will be all of the fire departments fleet of trucks. All proceeds from this years Pancake Day will again go toward the purchase of new equipment for the trucks and firefighters.
Everyone is welcome to attend. The premises are handicapped accessible.
