Local hunters, outdoorsmen and conservationists will have another great opportunity to support a worthy cause Saturday, Sept. 22. The Rockford-area chapter of Whitetails Unlimited will host their fund-raising banquet at the Verdi Hall, 782 N. Madison St., Rockford.
Not only will there be a terrific dinner, a live auction will be part of the evenings activities. There will also be door prizes, including sporting equipment, limited-edition wildlife and outdoor art, and WTU collectibles.
The proceeds from the banquet and auction will go toward local conservation and youth education.
Social hour begins at 5 p.m., with dinner at 7 p.m. Tickets are $40 each, $15 for a spouse, or $15 for juniors 15 and younger. No tickets will be sold at the door. To order your tickets, call Pete Blassage at (815) 289-4834, or WTU National Headquarters at (800) 274-5471, or you can order them online at www.whitetailsunlimited.com.
