The sites—the Winter Storm Resource Center and the Poinsettia Pages—are located on Extension’s Urban Programs Resource Network at: .

“The winter storm site is located at: and has things everybody needs to know at this time of the year,” said Scherer. “You can find current information on the weather, airport conditions, the Illinois forecast by counties, and a Doppler radar image.

“There is also information about winter driving conditions. You can also find information on dealing with frozen pipes, ice dams and snow removal.”

The Poinsettia Pages are at:

“If you have a poinsettia plant and aren’t sure how to take care of it, or how to get it to re-flower, or have any of a number of questions about the plant’s history and safety, this site can provide answers,” said Scherer.
