Winter walkers welcome at Burpee Museum

Winter walkers welcome at Burpee Museum

Jump start your winter fitness program with indoor walking at Burpee. Burpee Museum is now offering “Rock Walk Wednesdays” every Wednesday beginning at 8 a.m., thru March 27. The museum will open early on Wednesdays to accommodate local walkers who have found it too cold to walk outside.

Walking the museum’s three upper levels as well as the length of the underground tunnel, round trip, is the equivalent of one-quarter mile. Adding the three flights of stairs will help raise heart rates and make the most of your time.

Visitors can enjoy free coffee and tea in the museum’s Collector’s Gift Shop and still make it to work by 9 a.m. There is no cost to attend. The museum would be happy to have you as a guest.

For more information, call Holli Palmer at 965-3433. Parking is available at the Burpee Museum at 737 N. Main St. or in the Riverfront Museum Park parking lot, 711 N. Main St.
