‘Woman to Woman’ offers support to patients with breast cancer

Letting women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer know they are not alone is one of the premises behind the “Woman to Woman” Support Group that will meet from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 7, in the OSF Saint Anthony Women’s Center library on the second floor of the Medical Center.

The support group is intended to provide a safe place for breast cancer patients to express their feelings as well as to learn and exchange information.

Meetings will also offer speakers and topics for discussion chosen by the participants to address the challenges unique to breast cancer. Participants are welcome to bring questions, as well as their concerns, strength, hope and encouragement to help other women in the process of healing. The meetings are intended to provide a safe place for breast cancer patients “to let their hair down” and to share experiences as well as camaraderie.

Registration is not required. If you have any questions, call 815-227-2265.
