Woodward donates $50,000 to The September 11th Fund
Woodward Governor Company (Nasdaq: WGOV) announced a $50,000 donation to The September 11th Fund, to aid the American communities affected by the terrorist attacks.
Since Sept. 11, Woodward members have participated in local blood drives, United Way campaigns and other activities to support those involved with the tragedy. Were doing what we can to help make a difference, said John A. Halbrook, Woodward chairman of the board and chief executive officer. As individuals, Woodward members have responded to this tragic event with a spirit of caring. Our $50,000 contribution to The September 11th Fund is a way for us to respond as a global organization. It provides an avenue for us to let America know were concerned and working hard to emerge from this experience with great strength and courage.
Established by the United Way and The New York Community Trust, The September 11th Fund will provide immediate and long-term support to the victims, their families and communities affected by the tragic attack on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, as well as the downed United Airlines flight in Pennsylvania.
