Young American Theater presents Spook-A-Rama

New American Theater continues its 30th season with the hauntingly hilarious Young American Theater (YAT) production of Spook-A-Rama, which appears on NAT’s SecondStage from Oct. 19 through Nov. 3. The play is spooktacular fun for the whole family.

Directed by NAT’s Artistic Associate, Gail Dartez, the play centers around Vlad the Vampire, who is chafing around the collar. It’s apparent that his image needs updating. He can’t even get a date! His hapless servants, Igor and Griselda, vainly search for a plan to save their necks.

Spook-A-Rama is an original play written by the following YAT members: Ariel Choinard, Brant Cox, Gail Dartez, Hans Fredrickson, Elizabeth Kiefer, Steven Nelson, Heather Perry, Ruxandra Radulescu, Kelly Rockwell, Emma Stocker, Stina Tanaglia, Lauren Turner, Nick Vidal, Emily Wiedmeyer and Matt Young.

Frank N. Stein’s comic timing is a stitch, and the “Werewolf Blues” will have you howling. The comic action all takes place in Vlad’s combination rec room/torture chamber.

Tickets are $8; $6 for students, senior citizens and season subscribers. For details, call the box office at (814) 964-6282.
