The Parks Chamber of Commerce will host the 34th Annual Young at Heart Festival at Loves Park City Halls Festival Grounds, 100 Heart Blvd., in Loves Park. Opening ceremonies will begin at 5 p.m., Friday, May 27. Mayor Darryl Lindberg will be master of ceremonies.
The entertainment schedule is as follows:
Friday, May 27 (opens at 6 p.m.). Ride the Wristband special from 6 to 10 p.m. ($12) Men of Our Times will perform from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., and Fabulous Janes from 9 to 11:30 p.m.
Saturday, May 28 (opens at 11 a.m.) Classic Rock Day. The Frontiers perform from 3 to 4:30 p.m.; Mr. Big Stuff from 5 to 7:30 p.m.; Person to Person from 8 to 9:30 p.m.; and Foghat from 10 to 11:30 p.m. The Fireworks Spectacular will begin at 9:30 p.m.
Sunday, May 29 (opens at 11 a.m.) Ride Wristband special from noon to 4 p.m. ($15) Caribbean Music Day. Forest Hills Dance Academy & Co. will perform from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Mr. Myers will perform from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m.
Cost of admission is a $7 button good for all four days. The buttons can be purchased in advance for $5. Children age 5 and younger are free.
