Jefferson to meet with health care experts

State Rep. Chuck Jefferson (D-Rockford) will meet with his Health Care Advisory Committee at 5 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 12, in his district office at 200 S. Wyman, the Zeke Giorgi Center, in Rockford.
“I recently helped expand health insurance options for young adults,” Jefferson said. “I also supported two key pieces of legislation that will speed up the state’s reimbursement cycle for Medicaid. I look forward to discussing these recent improvements, and learning how I can continue to further the goals of our local health care community.”
Jefferson’s health care advisory committee meets once every eight weeks, and is composed of local doctors, nurses, social workers and other health care providers. The meeting is free and open to the public.
