District 205’s Family Resource Center extends hours
From press release
Rockford Public Schools will extend or offer evening hours at the Family Resource Center (FRC), 978 Haskell Ave., so parents of new and transferring students can enroll during the evening.
Enrollment is for students who are not assigned to a school because they are new to the community or transferring into the Rockford School District from a local, private or parochial school, or who previously have been home-schooled.
FRC hours through the start of classes Aug. 26 are as follows:
• Noon to 6:30 p.m., Aug. 24 and 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Aug. 25; and
• 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. all other days during the week through Aug. 26.
Parents and guardians of new and transferring middle school and high school students should enroll on-site at the school in the attendance zone where they live; only families with new and transferring elementary-age children should enroll at FRC.
Visit rps205.com under the “Attendance Zones are Easy” banner for more information regarding on-site enrollment.
Registration for all students at all schools was Aug. 13-14.
