A few months ago, I wrote a story about a new football league beginning this fall. Well, the moment everyone has been waiting for has finally arrived. The Lingerie Football League begins play this Friday night (Sept. 4).
The scantily-clad buxom babes, known as the Chicago Bliss, will square off against the equally scantily-clad haughty hotties known as the Miami Caliente. The two teams take to the field at 9 p.m. for full contact, seven-on-seven tackle football at the Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates.
Fans will start arriving by the thousands for the game-day party at 3 p.m. that afternoon. What’s being billed as one of the country’s biggest tailgate parties begins six hours prior to game time. The Tailgate Village will feature live music and DJs, multiple beer gardens, BBQ, a video gaming lounge, cheerleaders, football challenges and an opportunity to meet and greet with players from the Bliss.
Tickets for Friday night’s game range in price anywhere from $8 all the way up to $63. Advanced tickets can be purchased online at www.ticketmaster.com or at the door the day of the game.
This will be the first of only two opportunities to catch the Bliss at home this season. If you can’t make it to this Friday’s game, don’t be discouraged. The next time the Bliss will be back at home is on Friday night, Dec. 18. According to their Web site, both games are projected to sell out early, so don’t hesitate if you really want to see these women athletes give it their all out there on the field.
