Tell your representative to support the electronic products recycling bill

From The Environmental Law and Policy Center

Televisions, computers and other electronic products contain toxic materials such as lead and mercury that can poison our soil and groundwater if they’re not recycled. Recycling electronic waste protects us from toxins, conserves the gold, copper and other valuable materials in electronics, and creates jobs and revenue for Wisconsin residents.

Wisconsin has the chance to create a free electronic waste recycling program that is funded by manufacturers by passing a new bill. This fall, legislators will vote on the electronics products recycling bill. Nineteen other states have already passed electronic products recycling legislation.

Your representatives need to know that you support electronics recycling for Wisconsin. Please send a letter asking your state representative to support the electronic products recycling bill.
