Nominations are open from Sept. 17-Oct. 23, 2009. Golden Apple nominees will be notified by Nov. 3, 2009, and a reception will be held in honor of all nominees from 4:30-6 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009, at the Radisson Hotel. School administrators are asked to  mark your calendars and plan to attend with the nominated teachers from your school. Pre-K-5th grade teachers in Winnebago and Boone counties public and ISBE-recognized non-public schools will be eligible to apply for the Golden Apple Award this year following their nomination.
