Foreclosure future possibility for Road Ranger Stadium

Foreclosures are not a new occurrence in today’s financial climate. However, this time it’s a local landmark facing a possible financial crisis.

According to WREX.com, Park Stadium LLC, owner of Road Ranger Stadium, has inquired about the possibility of receiving a five-year tax abatement from the Rockford School District.

The WREX.com report also stated legal counsel for Park Stadium LLC sent a letter to the school district warning that they and the community “stand to lose a resource” if the tax abatement is denied.

The Operations Committee for the school district will delay a decision on the possibility of a tax abatement until its November 2 meeting.
