Barnes & Noble celebrates National Hispanic Heritage Month Oct. 9

Barnes & Noble, Inc. (NYSE:BKS), the world’s largest bookseller, announces that select Barnes & Noble stores will host special events for National Hispanic Heritage Month, celebrating Hispanic heritage and culture, from Sept. 15 through Oct. 15. Store events will include bilingual Storytimes, book fairs, author signings and panel discussions.
The Rockford, Ill. Barnes & Noble will hold its special Hispanic Heritage Month event at 7:30 p.m., Friday, Oct. 9, at 7200 Harrison Ave., in CherryVale Mall. The program will feature a reading of Dora and Diego and activities including crafts, music, stories and songs and special treats for the children. Rockford College’s The Jane Addams Center for Civic Engagement students will be hosting the Bilingual PJ Storytime.
Other Hispanic Heritage Month store promotions include displays of best-selling Spanish titles, a signature Mother Earth and the Moon tote featuring the artwork of illustrator and artist Blanca Santander for $4.95 with the purchase of any two items ($9.95 without purchase), and a Diego & Dora backpack raffle to be held during children’s Storytimes.
