Whether you were “green” before the color was fashionable or whether you’re just ready to find the “shade” that works best for you, here’s information about doing just “one green thing.”
Been invited to a Halloween party and need a costume? You may want to check your recycling bin(s). On the other hand, you could use materials that will be recyclable when you are done with the costume.
Aluminum foil, a few soda cans, a couple of cardboard boxes and you could turn yourself into a 1950s robot. Did you know the aluminum foil you use has already been recycled once? Aluminum is our greatest product, as it can be recycled repeatedly!
If you have a bed sheet you would rather throw away than take to the thrift store, tear some appropriately-sized strips of fabric and have someone help you become “The Mummy.” If you do not want to be wrapped up to accomplish the costume, have someone who sews stitch it to a comfortable garment so you will still be able to do the mummy dance.
Take a pair of boxes (this works best for a couple) and create a “pair of dice.” Use whatever paint you might have left…no masks are required. Then, trick-or-treat your night away as you win the “best costume” award (and put all the appropriate materials back into the recycling bins).
