Byron Forest Preserve holds annual Holiday Gift Sale Nov. 7

The Byron Forest Preserve’s 18th Annual Holiday Gift Sale will be held from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 7, at the Jarrett Prairie Center, 7993 N. River Road, Byron.
The show will only be one day this year with more than 30 booths for shoppers to enjoy. This year, hunting and fishing items will be for sale at various booths to include guns, knives and fishing lures for the outdoorsmen.
As always, a free Breakfast with Santa will be offered from 9-11 a.m. All believers can visit with him and tell him everything they want for Christmas Byron Forest Preserve will provide donuts, juice and milk. Bring your cameras to capture this special memory!
Door prizes will be given away throughout the weekend. The prizes will be items donated by the craft booth vendors. The show features exhibitors who offer a variety of handcrafted items, including Christmas ornaments and decorations, candles, wreaths, quilts, dolls, wood carvings, wooden furniture, hand-painted sweatshirts, baskets, bird houses and much more. An affordable concession stand and bake sale will be open.
Parents can come and shop while the youngsters learn about their heritage at the hands-on natural history exhibits in the prairie center museum.
Admission is free, and reservations are not required to attend the event. The Jarrett Prairie Center is accessible to the physically challenged.
