Permitted use is restrictive enough. Possibly in the future we will find that these turbines need to be upgraded, and to have the replacement turbines permitted too would help keep things current.

A special use permit would cost a lot of money. Meetings and more meetings and having votes put in a ballot wastes time and money as well as makes it that much harder for an individual to get away from big oil!

It’s a good thing I don’t need Illinois Bell to sell me their line and telephone and calling plans any more. I no longer need a home phone because when you call me, you really call me! I am glad that was MY choice!

It seems that we are finding the reason for the permit requirements is more about control than a caution of danger or proper land use for the area.

We are restrictive enough. If I want a wind turbine on my roof I should be able to put one there! Why should some idiot voter decide if I have to buy my energy from ComEd or NiGas, or if I can make it myself?

It's not your choice to make bud!
We need to get a grip on where your rights end and mine begin. If you want to be told where to get your energy then that's your problem. Maybe you should be forced to buy power from your neighbor’s wind generator at he price he decides you should pay!

ComEd does it, and that seems to be ok!
