Barns of Illinois photographer, co-author at Midway Village Nov. 7
From press release
Renowned photographer Larry Kanfer and co-author Alaine Kanfer will talk about their new book, Barns of Illinois, from 1 to 3 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 7, at Midway Village Museum, 6799 Guilford Road, in the 1905 Lyford Barn (one of the featured barns).
Larry Kanfer is a premier photographer of the Midwest landscape. His previous books include On Firm Ground, Prairiescapes and On Second Glance: Midwest Photographs. He and Alaina will share stories about how they put the book together and what inspired Larry about the barns. In addition, representatives from local barns featured in the book will speak briefly, including a member of the Paulson family (Paulson Barn), Tim Larson Dingus (Aldeen Barn), and Anne Meyer and Joanne Lyford Reid (1905 Lyford Barn).
Kanfer presents barns from every angle, inside and out, from a distance and up close, to capture the many reasons why they fascinate, inspire and reassure.
