Sounds of Good News offers Nov. 6 women’s workshop retreat

From press release

As we approach the 30th anniversary of Sounds of Good News (SOGN) Productions, founded on the day after Thanksgiving in 1979, Carl A. Cole (Mr. C) is still bringing
Good News

to the Greater Rockford Region and beyond through the universal, educational, inspirational power of music.

Working with his lovely and talented wife Dianna and multi-talented son Andrew, he is proudly continuing the COLE-lossal legacy started by his mother, Ms. Emma Cole, with the family group,
the Singing Coles,

mentioned twice in the Illinois History magazine in the early ‘60s. A professional pianist and vocalist since performing at his first wedding at age 11, Mr. C has been recognized at community and private events, from churches, schools, after-school programs, senior centers, symphony concerts, state fairs, country clubs, college campuses and award ceremonies.

This year, from 11 a.m.-5 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 28, at the CherryVale Mall
Bergner’s Court,

the public is invited to join in the celebration of this magnanimous company, with special music throughout the day and a
grand ceremony

at 1 p.m. with community leaders and friends. Donations will benefit the Young Eagles Success (YES) Vision of Character Excellence for Kids. The event is co-sponsored by St. Paul Lutheran Church and the Rockford Park District. Tax-deductible contributions can be made to either organization.
