Special Veterans’ Day event at JustGoods Listening Room Nov. 11

A special Veterans’ Day event—“Honor the Warrior, Not the War,” with folk musician Dave Lippman—will begin at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 11, at JustGoods Listening Room, 201 Seventh St.

Any donation offering will get you in, although veterans are admitted free. Proceeds go toward feeding the musician and helping the local peace group.

Audiences of all ages have been entertained by the post-corporate comic styling of satirical songster Dave Lippman (visit http://www.davelippman.com/). The anti-war troubadour afflicts the complacent, takes the air out of the windbags of the week, de-distorts history, and updates worn-out songs with parody and thrust. He is not your grandfather’s folksinger.
