Wildlife expert to speak at Nov. 15 event in Oregon, Ill.

OREGON, Ill.—Wildlife expert Dr. Philip Whitford will speak to the Prairie Preservation Society of Ogle County at 2 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 15, at the Kickapoo Center, 1919 N. Limekiln Road, Oregon.
Anyone who is interested in hearing the world’s leading expert in goose communication who admits to having done everything wrong when he started would enjoy the program. Duck or goose hunters who want to know what to do and not to do will enjoy hearing him.
We all know geese can cause problems in parks, playgrounds, gardens, golf courses and airports. Whitford will not only address these and other problems, but will present solutions he has developed.
Local residents have been concerned about seeing foxes in the city. Dr. Whitford assures us that foxes eat mice, not dogs. However, coyotes are a bigger problem.
Bird damage to houses, the annoyance caused by squirrels, chipmunks, spiders and almost any other nuisance species will be discussed. He will answer questions raised by the audience.
Refreshments will be served following the program. It is free and open to the public.
