Missing teen found

Missing Rockton Hononegah High School senior Brooke VanBriesen is home safely. At approximately 4 p.m., Nov. 13, Roscoe Police Detective Ben Garcia located the 17-year-old at Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg.

VanBriesen had been missing since Nov. 6, and was believed to have run away from her mother’s home in Roscoe after an argument.

Nov. 11, Roscoe Police indicated VanBriesen may have been in the company of 31-year-old Michael Richins.

According to parents Brian VanBriesen and Tracy Miller, Richins was questioned by police after he was located in the same shopping center.

The investigation is ongoing, and no charges have been filed.
