Severson Dells offers luminary walk Dec. 11-12

Friday and Saturday, Dec. 11-12, from 6 to 9 p.m., Severson Dells Nature Center will present “Silent Lights: Luminary Walk, Refreshments and Song.”

Stroll the two-thirds-of-a-mile hard-surfaced trail at Severson Dells Forest Preserve as it is lit up with hundreds of luminaries. Inside the Nature Center, enjoy a cup of hot chocolate (be kind to the earth and bring your own mug) by the fireplace.

In the classroom, enjoy music by Turtle Creek Ramblers, Friday, 6:30-8:30 p.m., and Casey’s Fancy, Saturday, 6:30-8:30 p.m.

No fee to stroll the path. Musical entertainment is $3 for individual members of “Friends of Severson Dells” or $15 per family maximum (if you’re not a current member, you may join that night); non-members are $5 per person or $20 per family max.
