Minor cuts require a bandaid - this student was cut with a knife through his clothes - what's minor about that? Shouldn't students be allowed to go to school each day without the fear that a group of students are going to approach them, armed with a knife, and demand money? This kid got mugged. These are not "rambunctious" students we are dealing with - the rambunctious ones bump into you in the hall and apologize. The law abiding students who are at school to get an education are in the majority. But you can't call the hoodlums "rambunctious" - many of them already have probation officers and are still involved in the activities that got them probation officers in the first place. Sheffield needs to stop saying they don't exist! They are real and they are threat to the law abiding students' safety and wellbeing. This superintendent is a real prize! She comes to Rockford and expects people who have been living here all their lives to believe that there is no violence in the schools here and things like this are rare?
