Carrie Underwood tickets on sale this Friday

Multiple CMA and Grammy winner Carrie Underwood will play the Rockford MetroCentre Saturday, April 10, 2010.

Tickets for Carrie Underwood’s Saturday, April 10, 2010 show at Rockford MetroCentre go on sale this Friday, Dec. 18.

Fans can purchase tickets beginning at 10 a.m., at the MetroCentre box office at 300 Elm St., or by calling (815) 968-5222. Online sales are available at www.metrocentre.com.

The 2005 American Idol winner, Underwood has scored 10 No. 1 singles. Her third studio album, Play On (2009, 19/Arista Nashville) debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, selling 318, 000 copies its first week after its Nov. 3 release. Her first two albums also reached No. 1.

In her short career, Underwood has won a handful of awards, including four Grammys. She was named CMA’s Female Vocalist of the Year three times (2006-2008).

Craig Morgan and Sons of Sylvia are scheduled to open the show. Tickets are $35, $45 and $55.
