		<description>Well said, Mike. Since moving to Milwaukee several years ago, I&#039;ve stopped watching television and it hasn&#039;t hurt at all. Not only do I feel smarter, but my wife and I are enjoying the pleasure of each others&#039; company a lot more. 
When I have turned on the local news channels here I find they are every bit as vapid, self-serving and circus-like as they were in Rockford. Maybe a little more so considering the bigger market here. When a snowstorm is due they tell us to batten down the hatches and be afraid... very afraid, and the grocery stores get crazy busy and everyone begins to drive like (bigger) idiots. 
I believe it has to be human nature. Basically the same everywhere.
