Calling all artists for ‘Unforgettable Art: An Affair for Alzheimer’s’

All artists from the Rockford area are invited to participate in
Unforgettable Art: An Affair for Alzheimer’s,
the premier spring event for the greater Rockford area to benefit the Alzheimer’s AssociationGreater Illinois Chapter.
This gala event will be Saturday, April 10, 2010, at Prairie Street Brew House, 200 Prairie St., in downtown Rockford. Doors will open for artists at noon. Guests and the general public will arrive at 6 p.m.
Guests will enjoy hors d’oeuvres and drinks as they watch 50 talented artists convert blank canvases into works of art. The night concludes with a live auction of all artwork at 8 p.m.
Unforgettable Art: An Affair for Alzheimer’s
raises funds for those affected by Alzheimer’s disease in the Chapter’s 68-county service area and is attended by hundreds of Rockford-area business and community leaders, art enthusiasts, families and caregivers of those affected by Alzheimer’s disease.
Alzheimer’s disease is the public health crisis of the 21st century with more than a half-million Illinois residents already affected. This number will skyrocket as the baby boomer generation enters the age of greatest risk for development of this devastating disease.
