I came across this interesting item and I felt it needed greater visibility.
Release Date: 01/12/2010
By: John Crabtree, johnc@cfra.org, Center for Rural Affairs

On January 6, USDA announced their decision to retain a massive loophole in farm payment limit rules that will continue to allow annual taxpayer-funded checks of hundreds of thousands, even millions, of dollars to inure to single farming operations - subsidy checks the nation's largest farms use to drive their smaller neighbors out of business.

Those happy cows from California are wanting to come to Illinois since there is a large water shortage in that state and to produce milk cows need water.

In addition as small dairy farmers are exiting the business of dairy farming large mega-dairy operations funded by the taxpayers step up to the trough of our money.
