Rockford Art Museum unveils Rockford Midwestern Jan. 22; free public opening Jan. 23

Juried by Milwaukee gallery owner Tory Folliard, Rockford Art Museum’s 2010 Rockford Midwestern marks the 71st presentation of this exhibition of new work by outstanding regional artists.

The exhibition opens with a preview for RAM members and exhibition artists Friday, Jan. 22. The preview includes a gallery walk at 5 p.m. led by Kortman Gallery Director Doc Slafkosky and a reception and awards presentation from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
The public opening is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 23, with free admission from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and a free gallery walk at 11 a.m.
Paintings, prints, drawings, photography and sculpture are represented. The prestigious Dean Alan Olson Purchase Award and Best of Show will be presented during the preview for RAM members and exhibition artists Friday, Jan. 22. Purchase Award is sponsored by the Dean Alan Olson Foundation.
