Rockford police arrest 10 in prostitution operation

Jan. 17, members of the Rockford Police Department M3 Street Team conducted a prostitution operation within the city of Rockford. The operation targeted the Mid-Town District as well as other areas of the city from where complaints of prostitution and street crime have been received. During the course of the operation, undercover officers posed as customers and targeted street level prostitutes.
The operation resulted in the arrest of 10 individuals. The following individuals face criminal charges as a result of the operation:
Amanda L. McCue, 31, soliciting a ride; Sherry A. Sweatt, 33, soliciting a ride; Heather L. Spain, 37, soliciting a ride; Yvonne Norwood (Pulliam), 23, soliciting a ride, possession of drug paraphernalia; Millett C. Whitley, 41, prostitution; Constance D. Jacobson, 46, prostitution; Joann Blough-Torres, 23, prostitution; Randi L. Packard, 27, prostitution; Karla D. Peart, 42, prostitution; and Mario Deltejo, DUI, no valid driver’s license, no insurance, failed to signal, soliciting a prostitute and FTA warrant.
All are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
