Conan O'Brien acquired the nickname "Coco" after its use in a sketch on the second episode of his Tonight Show run. Guest Tom Hanks used the nickname repeatedly throughout his subsequent interview, even getting the audience to chant it. O'Brien's fans launched the "I'm With CoCo" campaign and related rallies in attempts to show their support for the talk-show host.
