The pawnshops will definitely experience more business once the new legal gambling machines arrive in Rockford. Of course, the establishments that are paying out on their gambling machines now will still be breaking the law and will not be eligible for a license for the new legal gambling machines, unlike their new competitors. This is not about legalizing something that's being done illegally. It's about legalizing competition for those who are operating illegally now. What a sad development for Rockford! It will soon become a mecca for the lowlifes who gravitate to liquor and gambling establishments and pawnshops. Get ready for the consequences, such as increases in addiction, bankruptcy, child abuse, corruption, crime, divorce, embezzlement, and suicide.
