Cheap Trick goes ‘green’ for Super Bowl commercial

While no Bears, Packers or Vikings will play in this Sunday’s (Feb. 7) Super Bowl between the Indianapolis Colts and New Orleans Saints, the game will include work from four “players” with local ties.
Rock band Cheap Trick and Audi of America have collaborated on the latest incarnation of the song, “Dream Police.” Cheap Trick’s “Green Police” will be the music track for the Super Bowl commercial promoting the Audi A3 TDI clean diesel. The band went back into the studio and reworked the hit for the ad.
The commercial is scheduled to run during the fourth quarter. Listen to the track here.
