Carl Cole returns to hometown to celebrate National Black History Month

Professor Carl A. Cole, founder and CEO of 30-years strong, Rockford-based Sounds Of Good News (SOGN) Productions, will be returning to Freeport to celebrate February as National Black History Month.
Cole will make two powerful visits. The first will be at his annual assemblies at Freeport Junior High School from 8:30-10:30 a.m., Friday, Feb. 5. The second will be to accompany California vocal artist “Oya” at 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13 in the Highland Community College public concert on Valentine’s Day weekend. This event is free and open to the public.
