East High teams up with Barnes & Noble for literacy initiative Feb. 6
From press release
East High School is hosting a book fair this weekend to raise funds for its school-wide literacy initiative.
The book fair will be at the Barnes & Noble bookstore at CherryVale Mall from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 6. East students and staff will hand out vouchers at a booth inside the store.
When patrons buy an item from the store, they can turn in the voucher and Barnes & Noble will contribute a percentage of each sale to East.
Entertainment during the book fair includes student readers, children’s crafts and a visit from a Mary Todd Lincoln impersonator.
Proceeds from the book fair will be used to expand the library collection at East. Customers can also choose books from an in-store “wish list” display to purchase for East’s library.
