Police arrest Rockford woman in West State Street drug bust

Members of the Rockford Police Department’s Narcotics Unit have been investigating the sale of illegal narcotics, which had been reported to be taking place at 2616 W. State St. As a result of this investigation, a search warrant was obtained and executed Feb. 9 by the Rockford Police Department’s Narcotics Unit.
Two adult males and one adult female were located inside the residence. During a search of the residence, detectives located more than 50 baggies that were each individually packaged with suspected crack cocaine. Detectives also recovered more than 200 baggies that each contained suspected cannabis.
Upon completing the investigation, both males were released and not charged. The female who lived at the residence, 36-year-old Rebecca L. Gary of Rockford, was arrested and lodged at Winnebago County Jail. Gary is charged with possession with intent to deliver 1-15 grams of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a church and possession with intent to deliver cannabis.
Gary is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
