Police arrest three teens in home burglary

At 2:20 p.m., Feb. 9, Rockford Police officers were dispatched to a residence in the 4000 block of Linden Road regarding a burglary in progress. The homeowner was awakened and observed several subjects inside her residence who fled when she screamed. The 30-year-old female homeowner was able to provide police with a description and a perimeter was set up based on footprints in the snow left by the suspects.

During the immediate search of the area, police located three subjects matching the description along with stolen property taken from the residence.

Entry was gained by forcing a window leading into the residence. The property taken was several TV electronic items.

Denzel Anderson, 17, Shaquille L. Anderson, 18, and a 15-year-old male juvenile were taken into custody and interviewed by detectives. The case facts were reviewed by the Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office, which authorized charges of residential burglary and resisting arrest.

Denzel and Shaquille Anderson were lodged in the Winnebago County Jail and the 15-year-old juvenile was lodged in Juvenile Detention.

All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
