Recommendations made for Airport Authority, Board of Health

After meeting with the Republican and Democrat caucuses, Winnebago County Board Chairman Scott Christiansen (R) announced the recommendation of Phil Rubin to serve on the Greater Rockford Airport Authority and Dr. Allen Williams to serve on the Winnebago County Board of Health.
Rubin is a lifelong Winnebago County resident. As president and CEO of J. Rubin & Co., he brought this family business from approximately $5 million in sales to $55 million annually. He has experience operating multiple service centers in several Midwest states, working with major national companies, and coordinating trucking, rail and air transportation. He is also a past member of the Rockford Area Transportation Study Committee and the State of Illinois Business and Trade Advisory Committee.
Board Certified, Dr. Allen Williams specializes in internal medicine at SwedishAmerican Medical Group/Woodside. He received his doctor of medicine in 1998 at Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine, and completed his doctor of internal medicine in 2001 at Loyola University Medical Center. He is president of the medical staff, and previously served as first-vice president of the medical staff and chairman of the Department of Internal Medicine.
