Noah’s Ark Animal Sanctuary, the Rock River Valley’s only no-kill animal shelter, will host their annual “Bark and Wine Gala” from 5 to 9 p.m., Saturday, March 6, at the S.M. & S.F. Club. All proceeds raised at the third-annual event will be donated to Noah’s Ark to provide food and medical care to all animals housed in their shelter.
“This event has really helped keep the area’s only no-kill animal shelter operating,” said Marcia Brice, pet counselor and fund-raising coordinator for Noah’s Ark. “However, the prizes and drawings make the event as fun as it is helpful.”
This year’s event will again feature door prizes, prize drawings, a silent auction and a complimentary wine tasting with hors d’ oeuvres. This year’s silent auction features such items as spas, car repair and even body piercing.
“We’ve received donations from a wide array of local businesses,” said Brice. “It’s heartwarming to see area businesses donate goods and services to benefit a worthy cause.”
Tickets for the event are $25 per person or $45 for two tickets. Ticket purchase qualifies those in attendance for prize drawings and much more. Tickets can be purchased at Noah’s Ark Animal Sanctuary, 111 N. First St., Rockford.
To purchase tickets or to donate an item to the silent auction, call Noah’s Ark at (815) 962-2767.
