District 205 superintendent to attend March 6 ‘Citizens Against School Violence’ meeting

Rockford Public School District 205 Superintendent Dr. LaVonne M. Sheffield will field questions from those in attendance at Voices of Rockford’s Saturday, March 6, “Citizens Against School Violence” meeting at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1829 N. Rockton Road.

The meeting will begin at noon, and pizza and pop will be served.

Voices of Rockford is a local citizens’ action group that has hosted two other meetings focused on District 205 schools—one Feb. 6 that addressed gang activity and one Jan. 14 that addressed violence in schools. The meetings generally include brainstorming sessions aimed at offering solutions to safety issues in Rockford public schools.
